Rebel Property Group and Braxton have recently been granted approval to build a six-storey residential complex in Marrickville. The development, at 41-47 Farr Street Marrickville is estimated to be worth $70 million.

This is the first development approval in Marrickville under the newly rezoned Timber Yards Precinct. The complex will contain 51 units.

Braxton owner Andrew Donnelly said they are delivering a product that meets the needs of this changing and vibrant community.

More than 50% of the units are planned to be large three-bedroom apartments and Braxton owner Andrew Donnelly indicated this is to cater for the “mainly young families or older couples who want to live in Marrickville but only have older houses to choose from.”

Mr Donnelly said “with this project we are delivering premium, modern, beautifully designed, oversized, luxury apartments with plenty of secure parking and amenity in a quiet cul de sac, right in the heart of Marrickville.”

The developers also purchased the neighbouring property at 37 Farr Street Marrickville. They plan to use the land to build community facilities, such as a children’s playground, barbeques, seating and landscaped gardens.

Construction on the project is expected to commence early 2024.
