We chose Open House Conveyancing for the sale of our first home in the ACT as we liked the idea of being able to complete the Conveyancing process online and through phone communication, rather than in-person (particularly as we relocated to Victoria prior to the sale of our house). Racheal and Dennis provided excellent communication, advice that was easy to understand and we felt as though they looked after our best interests. The whole process was smooth and hassle-free. I'd recommend Open House Conveyancing and would happily use them again in the future. Thank you Dennis and Racheal!
Rachael and Dennis provided exceptional service and advice especially during some unexpected legal difficulties that arose during the course of the sale. I highly recommend their service for their accessibility, professionalism and communication.
Great communication throughout the entire process and very efficient, thank you!
Open House Conveyancing is a law firm and we are conveyancing lawyers.
While you can choose to engage a lawyer or licensed conveyancer, only lawyers can give you legal advice should things not go according to plan.
Lawyers are highly qualified, having studied law for more than 5 years before becoming licensed to provide legal advice.
We provide conveyancing services to clients who are buying, selling or transferring property in New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Queensland and Victoria.
Our conveyancing services include residential and commercial properties. We can assist with buying or selling a house, unit, vacant land and properties off the plan. Our conveyancing lawyers can also provide advice on rural conveyancing and transfers between family members.
Our conveyancing services page contains more information.
Usually, the purchase or sale of a property can be completed about 4-6 weeks after the contract has been signed.
If you are purchasing a property from a developer (either a house and land package, or a property off the plan), settlement will not take place until the land is registered. This can be anywhere from 6 weeks after you sign the contract, or up to 2 or 3 years later in some cases.
