We could not have asked for better partners throughout our purchase process than Open House Conveyancing.
Dennis at Open House Conveyancing is the best! I have dealt with many solicitors and conveyancers in the past but Dennis is by far the most reliable and helpful, always on top of things. Thank you so much for your guidance, Dennis! You made what could have been a very stressful experience a smooth one.
Racheal and Dennis are truly great at what they do. They are grounded and calm throughout the whole process and I wouldn’t use anyone else for my conveyancing.
We have had excellent experiences working with Open House Conveyancing. They have always been highly professional and knowledgable which has made the process smooth for us. They regularly kept us updated and explained things in an understanding way. Thanks again for all your help!
Dennis was so easy to deal with when selling our home. Communication was clear and accurate, and online signing makes things so simple to navigate. Sale was completed with no issues. Would be happy to use Dennis’ service again in future. Thank you.
Open House was fantastic to work with. We had a land purchase with complex restrictions on the land use. Open house was able to guide us on these complexities and they were very thorough with their work. I can’t recommend them enough!!

Transferring
Off The Plan
Conveyancing is the process of transferring ownership of a property from one person to another person.
Our role as your solicitor, is to provide you with legal advice and to make sure you meet your legal obligations during the conveyancing process.
We will make sure you receive good title to the property you are buying. Or, if you are selling a property, we will make sure the buyer pays the agreed price and the property is transferred to them.
No! A licensed conveyancer is not always cheaper. You can engage a conveyancing solicitor to represent you for an affordable fixed price.
Open House Conveyancing is a law firm and we have competitive fixed price fees. Our conveyancing costs are cheaper than most conveyancing firms.
Our conveyancing fees are affordable and our service is amazing. We do not compromise on quality!
If you are purchasing a property, it is best to contact us after you find a property but BEFORE you sign the contract. That way, your conveyancing lawyer can review the contract and negotiate any required amendments before you sign.
If you are purchasing a property at an auction, it is very important that you contact a conveyancer to review the contract before you attend the auction. The contract cannot be changed after the auction and you will want to make sure there are no red flags with the property or the terms of the contract.
If you are selling a property in NSW or ACT, you need to contact a conveyancer to prepare the contract of sale before you can advertise the property and show people through. If you live in QLD, the selling agent will usually prepare the contract of sale.
Usually, the purchase or sale of a property can be completed about 4-6 weeks after the contract has been signed.
If you are purchasing a property from a developer (either a house and land package, or a property off the plan), settlement will not take place until the land is registered. This can be anywhere from 6 weeks after you sign the contract, or up to 2 or 3 years later in some cases.
Whether you are a first time homebuyer or experienced investor, it’s useful to have a clear outline of all the steps involved in the property conveyancing process.
Open House Conveyancing makes the process of buying and selling property straightforward. We provide clear legal advice to clients. Our job is to ensure you understand your obligations under the contract of sale.
Our service pages provide an overview of the conveyancing process of buying and selling property. We also provide helpful information for first home buyers, including a summary of the government grants they may be eligible to receive.
It doesn't matter if this is your first purchase or the tenth time you have engaged a conveyancer, the process can be confusing and overwhelming for everyone. Talking to banks about loans, agents about offers and getting your head around the contract can all be challenging.
We break down the conveyancing process into small, easy to follow steps. And we guide you on what needs to happen at each stage of the conveyance.
We provide legal advice in plain English and we explain the legal terms to you in a way that makes it easy to understand. If you are looking for more information, a good place to start is by checking out Conveyancing Questions: The A to Z of Conveyancing.
